AI SDR software that runs outbound calling and books meetings

AI SDR software is the platform that turns a list of leads into booked meetings without a rep dialing all day. ColdCalls.ai gives you the scripts, qualifying logic, calling rules and CRM integration in one place, then runs the outbound for you.

You configure your ideal customer profile, qualifying questions and calling hours, and the agent dials, talks, qualifies, handles objections, and books meetings into your calendar. It is compliance-first, so AI disclosure, DNC suppression and consent rules are enforced on every call, with full reporting back into your CRM.

SHORT ANSWER Last updated August 2026

Short answer: AI SDR software is the platform behind the calls, combining scripts, qualification logic, calling rules and CRM integration in one place. You configure the ICP, the qualifying questions and the calling hours, and the platform enforces compliance first, disclosing the AI, scrubbing DNC and respecting consent, while every call reports back to your CRM in full.

Why it works

What your team gets with AI SDR software

One platform, full funnel

Scripts, qualification, calling rules and CRM sync live in one place, so your outbound program runs from a single configurable system.

Configurable to your motion

Set your ICP, qualifying questions, hours and caps, and the software runs outbound exactly the way your team sells.

Compliance enforced

AI disclosure, DNC suppression and consent rules are applied automatically across every call the software places.

What it handles

Dialed, disclosed and booked on autopilot

The agent works your lead list, discloses it is an AI on every call, scrubs against DNC in real time, qualifies the prospect, handles objections, and books the meeting straight into your calendar and CRM.

  • Runs outbound calling from one platform
  • Configures ICP, scripts and qualifying logic
  • Books meetings and syncs to your CRM
  • Enforces DNC, consent and calling hours
  • Reports activity and outcomes in real time

What does AI SDR software actually do, and where does the category split?

Almost every buyer evaluating this category runs into the same surprise late in the process, so it is worth putting first. Most products sold as AI SDR software do not make phone calls. They run email and LinkedIn autonomously, and when a phone call is needed they hand it to a human being.

That is not a criticism, it is a design choice, and several of these tools are good at what they do. But it changes what you are buying. Artisan markets Ava as an AI BDR and runs email and LinkedIn; its own site states plainly that Ava cannot legally make calls. AiSDR runs email and LinkedIn, and its phone capability is an Aircall integration where a human rep places the call. Regie.ai has a synthetic voice, but it is used for voicemail drops, with a human rep on live conversations. Salesforge and Reply.io are sequencing and deliverability platforms at heart. If your bottleneck is that nobody is writing enough personalized email, any of those may be the right purchase. If your bottleneck is that nobody is picking up the phone at all, none of them solve it.

So the first question to ask a vendor is narrow and it separates the field cleanly: when a prospect answers the phone, who is talking? If the answer is a rep, you are buying software that makes a person faster, and your capacity is still a headcount question. If the answer is the software, you are buying capacity that is configured rather than hired. Ask it before the demo, because both kinds of product demo beautifully. We work through the whole field on best AI cold calling software, the role itself on AI SDR, and the honest limits in does AI cold calling work.

  • Most AI SDR software runs email and LinkedIn autonomously and hands live calls to a human
  • Artisan: email and LinkedIn. Its own site states Ava cannot legally make calls
  • AiSDR: email and LinkedIn. Phone is an Aircall integration where a human rep dials
  • Regie.ai: synthetic voice used for voicemail drops. A human rep holds live conversations
  • Ask one question first: when a prospect answers, who is talking, a rep or the software?
  • If a rep talks, capacity is still a hiring problem no matter how good the AI is

What does AI SDR software cost, and what are you actually paying for?

Three pricing models are in circulation and they are not comparable to each other, which is why side-by-side spreadsheets in this category tend to mislead.

Per seat is the most common, and it is what you get from tools that make a human faster. AiSDR publishes $250, $900 and $2,500 a month. Regie.ai publishes $180 per user a month with a ten seat minimum and $499 per user a month with a five seat minimum. Artisan sits around $250 a month. Per minute is what the voice infrastructure platforms charge: Vapi bills roughly $0.05 a minute for agent hosting with speech and language models passed through at cost, and Retell AI publishes $0.07 to $0.31 a minute, both of which mean you are building the agent yourself rather than buying one. Then there is the flat platform fee, which is our model: $499 a month for one AI SDR seat, $1,490 for three and $3,900 for ten, with additional connected minutes from $0.12. We publish all of it, which is worth saying only because a lot of this category does not.

The comparison that actually decides the purchase is against the person you would otherwise hire. The Bridge Group 2025 Sales Development report, based on 351 B2B companies, puts median SDR on-target earnings at $80,000, split $55,000 base and $25,000 variable. The Bureau of Labor Statistics Employer Costs for Employee Compensation series for Q1 2026 puts benefits at roughly 30% of total compensation, which is about 43% on top of wages. That arithmetic is ours rather than a published benchmark, but it lands one seat near $114,000 a year fully loaded, close to $9,500 a month, before a dialer licence, a data subscription or any share of a manager. The same dataset puts median SDR turnover at 40% a year, ramp at 3.0 months and tenure at 1.9 years, so you pay for a quarter of unproductive ramp on every hire and repeat it roughly every other year. That churn, not the monthly rate, is usually what makes the software case. The full cost breakdown is in AI vs human SDR cost and AI cold calling cost, and the dialer-side pricing is on predictive dialer software.

  • Three models in circulation: per seat, per minute, and a flat platform fee. They do not compare directly
  • Per seat: AiSDR $250, $900 and $2,500/mo. Regie.ai $180/user with a 10 seat minimum, or $499/user with 5
  • Per minute: Vapi from about $0.05/min plus pass-through, Retell AI $0.07 to $0.31/min. You build the agent
  • Flat platform fee: our published $499, $1,490 and $3,900 a month, minutes from $0.12
  • Median SDR OTE $80,000 (Bridge Group, 2025, 351 B2B companies)
  • Benefits add roughly 43% on top of wages (BLS ECEC, Q1 2026), so one seat lands near $114,000 loaded
  • Turnover 40% a year, ramp 3.0 months, tenure 1.9 years. The churn is usually what makes the case

The AI voice agent works your whole list, discloses it is an AI on every call, qualifies the prospect and handles objections, so no good lead goes uncalled.

Stays compliant

Real-time DNC scrubbing, TCPA and consent-aware calling, and configurable calling hours mean every call goes out inside the rules, automatically.

Books the meeting

Qualified prospects get booked straight into your calendar and synced to your CRM, so your reps walk into meetings instead of dialing all day.

Good questions

Questions about AI SDR software

Your lead list, a short script or talk track, your qualifying questions, and your CRM connection. From there you set calling hours and caps, and the software handles the dialing, conversation, qualification and booking.
Yes. The software syncs call outcomes, notes, dispositions and booked meetings to your CRM, so your pipeline and activity records stay accurate without manual data entry from your reps.
It depends on the channel you need. Most tools marketed as AI SDR software (Artisan, AiSDR, Salesforge, Regie.ai, Reply.io) run email and LinkedIn autonomously and hand the phone to a human rep. If you need the AI to hold the voice conversation itself, the field is much smaller. Compare on that one question first, then on compliance and pricing model.
A power dialer such as PhoneBurner or Kixie makes a human rep faster by removing dial delay and automating logging, but a person talks on every connect and you pay per seat. AI SDR software with voice places the call and holds the conversation itself, so cost does not scale with headcount and coverage is not capped by a shift.
